About the Lockwood STEM Alliance

The Lockwood STEM Alliance mission is to develop and support Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education programs.

• We support FIRST Robotics programs and other similar programs that provide hands-on technical learning opportunities for the participants. This may include equipment costs, registration fees, travel expenses, and any other expenses incurred by the programs.

• We provide advanced educational opportunities for students including field trips, camps, and seminars. We provide manufacturing sessions, computer programming seminars, fabrication sessions, and experiences designed to develop communication and other soft skills.

• We support the Lockwood STEM Center including purchasing equipment, repairing equipment, and general upkeep and maintenance of the facilities and supporting expansion or physical repair.

• We support STEM Education through community outreach.

• We work tirelessly on behalf of young people reaching out to universities for scholarships and local businesses to establish co-op, internship, and permanent employment opportunities.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity as determined by the Internal Revenue Service. IRS Pub 557 indicates that the effective date of our exemption is retroactive to our date of incorporation with the state of Michigan which is 10/18/2023.  Donations may be tax-exempt.
